The Turtle Contingency

Zoe is not sure about turtles.

When I was a kid my brother and I would hang out at a local park with my mom after school. We would watch the ducks and turtles while enjoying turkey sandwiches. This park has long been one of my favorite in Santa Barbara. Recently Zoe and I were on a multiple errand run when we passed this park and I made the split decision we needed some nature time.

We got out of the car and walked around, crossed a bridge, checked out some plants, saw some ducks (she is viewing them above). And then… then… then we saw the turtles.

Do you see those turtles below?

Did you know turtles pose a clear and present danger?

Did you know that while they look like move slow, that’s actually their secret weapon… because at any moment who knows what they could do.

These turtles right here… they are clearly stealth Al-Qaeda operatives in our own Santa Barbara parks!

You probably never thought I would make a connection between Zoe and Al-Qaeda, yep, I just did. I mean who else is keeping our parks safe, like all things it is falling on Zoe’s shoulders, next you are probably going to ask her to handle negotiations with Syria!
