Balancing Act

There are some dogs that will spend all day looking at you, panting. They are eager, they are excited, they are ready for the ball AT EVERY MOMENT. Zoe is not one of those dogs.

As you can tell from her photos, she has tons of energy, and gets very excited, but at the times that she finds appropriate and applicable for the task at hand. She is VERY strategic.

Above for instance, we were on a hike and Zoe was taking a moment to look at the watering hole below. At least that is what it looks like, but she was actually watching some squirrels. Very intent on those squirrels, I mean, you never know when the squirrels could try to take over the world, this was a potential threat to national security. And what this specific task calls for at this moment, was sitting and surveying the situation, clearly!

But say we are at the beach, well, then she explores, she investigates, and, she runs…

But just as often as I find her ALWAYS READY to go on a walk, I find her spending time snuggled up napping. I mean a girl has to get her beauty sleep. She has this way of curling up into such a small ball with everything tucked it, she looks like a fox…

So while I might be working on launching three websites, having back to back conference calls, cooking dinner and discussing brand strategy with a client… and Zoe, she is doing this type of sleeping as you see below… it is all, a balancing act. I don’t know about you, but me, I could use some work on my balancing act.
